Driver-Side Mirrors (Wing Mirrors)

One of the most common uses of concave mirrors in vehicles is in driver-side mirrors. These mirrors provide a wider field of view than a flat mirror of the same size, enabling drivers to see more of the area beside and slightly behind their car. This expanded view helps reduce blind spots and makes lane changes safer. While offering a wider view, concave mirrors also make objects appear smaller and farther away than they actually are. This distortion requires drivers to adjust their perception when gauging distances in the driver-side mirror.

Passenger-Side Mirrors

Headlights
