How To Make A Recessed Medicine Cabinet With Mirror

Materials You'll Need
- 1/2-inch plywood
- 1/4-inch plywood
- 1x4 pine boards
- 1x6 pine boards
- Mirror
- Wood glue
- 1 1/4-inch wood screws
- 2-inch wood screws
- Sandpaper
- Paint or stain (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the 1/2-inch plywood to the desired size of your medicine cabinet. This will be the back of the cabinet.
- Cut the 1/4-inch plywood to the desired size of the front of the cabinet. This will be the face of the cabinet and the frame for the mirror.
- Attach the 1/4-inch plywood to the 1/2-inch plywood using wood glue and 1 1/4-inch wood screws. Be sure to countersink the screws so that they are flush with the surface of the plywood.
- Cut the 1x4 pine boards to the desired length for the sides of the cabinet. Attach the 1x4 pine boards to the sides of the cabinet using wood glue and 2-inch wood screws. Be sure to countersink the screws so that they are flush with the surface of the wood.
- Cut the 1x6 pine boards to the desired length for the top and bottom of the cabinet. Attach the 1x6 pine boards to the top and bottom of the cabinet using wood glue and 2-inch wood screws. Be sure to countersink the screws so that they are flush with the surface of the wood.
- Attach the mirror to the front of the cabinet using mirror adhesive. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for applying the adhesive.
- Sand the cabinet to smooth out any rough edges. Paint or stain the cabinet (optional).
