How to Mirror Android TV with Wi-Fi

Screen mirroring allows you to wirelessly display your Android device's screen on your TV. This can be useful for sharing photos, videos, movies, or even playing games on a larger screen. Here's how to mirror your Android TV with Wi-Fi:

Prerequisites:

  • An Android TV with built-in Wi-Fi.
  • An Android device running Android 4.4 or later.
  • Both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Steps to Mirror Android TV with Wi-Fi:

1. Enable Screen Mirroring on Android TV: On your Android TV, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Screen Mirroring and enable it.

2. Open Quick Settings on Android Device: Swipe down from the top of your Android device's screen to open Quick Settings.

3. Find and Tap on Cast Icon: Look for the Cast icon (it resembles a rectangle with Wi-Fi signals coming out of it) in Quick Settings and tap on it.

4. Select Your Android TV: Your Android TV will appear in the list of available devices. Select it to start mirroring your screen.

5. Allow Permission: A prompt may appear on your Android TV asking for permission to mirror your device's screen. Select "Allow" to continue.

6. Start Mirroring: Your Android device's screen should now be mirrored on your Android TV. You can adjust the screen orientation or stop mirroring by using the Cast icon in Quick Settings.

Troubleshooting:

  • Devices Not Connecting: Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network and that Screen Mirroring is enabled on your Android TV.
  • Low Image Quality: Check your Wi-Fi connection strength and move closer to the router for better signal.
  • Lag or Stuttering: Your Wi-Fi connection may be unstable. Try restarting your router or moving closer to it.
  • Cannot Find Your Android TV: Make sure your Android TV's Screen Mirroring feature is turned on and that it's visible in the list of available devices in Quick Settings.

Additional Tips:

  • Use a third-party screen mirroring app for more features and customization options.
  • Mirroring can drain your device's battery, so keep it plugged in or fully charged.
  • For a better experience, ensure your Wi-Fi connection is strong and stable.

By following these steps, you can enjoy mirroring your Android device's screen on your Android TV wirelessly, making it easy to share content and enjoy entertainment on a larger display.
