Assessing the Mirror and Wall

Drywall differs from plaster or concrete, each demanding specific fasteners and installation techniques.

Choosing the Right Mounting Hardware

Selecting the appropriate hardware is crucial for secure mirror installation. Consider factors like the mirror's weight, the wall type, and the desired hanging style. Several options are available:

J-Hooks: Suitable for lighter mirrors on drywall. These hooks are simple to install and offer adequate support for smaller frames.

Installing the Mounting Hardware

Use temporary supports, such as painter’s tape or shims, to hold the mirror in place while the mastic cures, typically 24 to 72 hours.
