How to Use Screen Mirroring on iPhone with Apple TV

Screen mirroring allows you to wirelessly display the content from your iPhone on a larger screen, such as a TV. This is a great way to share videos, photos, or presentations with others. To use screen mirroring on your iPhone with Apple TV, follow these steps:

Make sure your devices are compatible

Screen mirroring is compatible with:

iPhone 5 or later
iPad 2 or later
iPod touch 5th generation or later
Apple TV 2 or later

Connect your iPhone and Apple TV to the same Wi-Fi network

Both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network in order to mirror your iPhone screen. To check if your devices are connected to the same network, go to Settings > Wi-Fi on both devices and make sure they are both connected to the same network.

Open Control Center on your iPhone

To open Control Center, swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone screen. On iPhone X or later, swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen.

Tap the Screen Mirroring button

The Screen Mirroring button looks like a rectangle with two arrows pointing out of it. Tap this button and a list of available devices will appear.

Select your Apple TV

Tap the name of your Apple TV from the list of available devices. Your iPhone screen will now be mirrored on your TV.

Stop screen mirroring

To stop screen mirroring, open Control Center and tap the Screen Mirroring button again. You can also stop screen mirroring by going to Settings > AirPlay & Bluetooth and selecting the name of your Apple TV. Then, tap the Disable Mirroring button.
